“The very matriarch of the Tropical Rainforests…” – Arnold Newman
Experience selected journeys to some of the most biodiverse regions of the world through the lens of Mildred E. Mathias. Ranging from 1982-1990, we travel to Costa Rica , Ecuador, Amazonian Peru, Papua New Guinea and several countries in Africa. These trips helped establish rainforest conservation areas and generated an interest in ecotourism. Also featured in this collection are field recordings from a trip which Mildred led to the Amazon in 1990. These recordings were conducted by Jack Wolf.
