Sustainability waterworks project furthered by gift from Charlie and Peggy Norris

The Garden’s stream revitalization project is largely thanks to the generosity of Charlie and Peggy Norris, for whom the brand new Norris Terrace is named.

This project will be complete by June 2024. The 9-month renovation has long been one of the Garden’s most urgent needs. The new stream features a stunning waterfall feature, safer bridges, an impermeable base to prevent water loss, and an irrigation system that delivers water to plants around the Garden.

Previously, the stream was losing 200 swimming pools worth of water each year. Now, the Garden’s hydrology system will be water efficient and sustainable.

We hope you visit our beautified Garden this spring and summer.
