In an article for the Daily Bruin, photojournalists Leydi Cris Cobo Cordon and Crystal Tompkins followed several of the campus music scene. One of the student bands highlighted was Fire Safety who rocked the Garden at our Fall Fest in October. Singer Kaia Kim-Weigandt noted “Performing outdoors was definitely magical.”
The UCLA Mathias Botanical Garden acknowledges the Gabrielino/Tongva peoples as the traditional land caretakers of Tovaangar (the Los Angeles basin and So. Channel Islands).
