Request a Reservation

The Garden Conference Room and The Garden Terrace are available for reservations to occupants of The Botany Building and for official meetings of the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology.

If you are looking to make a reservation for a private event, please click here.

When either place is not reserved, the Garden Conference room and Garden Terrace are available for use by occupants of the La Kretz Botany Building.

Each group will be responsible to leave room clean, white boards erased, and trash removed.

To reserve the room for regular or special events, please fill out the form below to  and book your reservation.

Please note: Reservation requests must be made within 2 weeks of the event. Please allow 24-36 hours for our team to process your reservation.

The Process

  • Step 1

    Fill out the form at the bottom of this page. Please include set-up and break-down times.

  • Step 2

    Our team will reply back within 24-36 hours of your request. We will let you know if the venue is available at the time of the request.

  • Step 3

    Once details have been finalized, our team will send you a confirmation email.

Garden Terrace (Balcony)

Enjoy lunch or have a team gathering in our very own balcony! Oversee the luscious north side of the Garden while standing 3 stories high.

The UCLA Mathias Botanical Garden acknowledges the Gabrielino/Tongva peoples as the traditional land caretakers of Tovaangar (the Los Angeles basin and So. Channel Islands). Open hours

Hours (February through October):
Weekdays: 8AM to 5PM
Weekends: 9AM to 5PM

Hours (November through January):
Weekdays: 8AM to 4PM
Weekends: 9AM to 4PM

UCLA Holidays: Open 9AM to 5PM. Closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Closed at 2pm on Christmas Eve.
