SUMMARY:Third Thursdays: Twilight in the Garden - August 15
DESCRIPTION:See the sunset from the Garden at Third Thursdays\, our summer twilight series. Meet new friends at the wine bar\, then kick back and enjoy live music! \nAdmission for each event is $10. Purchase tickets here. Skip the line and buy tickets ahead of time! \nWe cannot accept cash. If you are paying at the door\, you will need a card number that you can enter into our online storefront. \nFree admission for ages 12 and under. We do not refund tickets. \n \nThis event is all-ages\, but the wine bar is 21+. Bring your government-issued photo ID if you would like to enter the wine bar. Alcohol sales are separate from the admission fee. \nPicnics are welcome. Outside alcohol is not allowed. \nCheck in at the Patio Gate (Park’s Patio). See a map of the Garden for reference; the nearest cross street is Charles E Young Dr S and Tiverton Dr. The street address is 707 Tiverton Dr. \nParking: We recommend UCLA Structure 2. It is $6 for 2 hours on a weekday evening. Parking is free for 2 hours at Ralphs Westwood with validation and a purchase from the store. \n \nTwilight in the Garden on Third Thursdays: \n7/18/24 from 5-7 p.m. \n8/15/24 from 5-7 p.m. \n9/19/24 from 5-7 p.m. \nThis event will feature live music by Sheng Chang and Melt to Stone. \n \nHi! I’m Sheng\, and I’m a singer-songwriter from North Carolina. I write pop/folk music and I take a lot of inspiration from my favorite lyricists like Phoebe Bridgers and Leith Ross. \nYou can find me on SoundCloud here. \n \nMelt to Stone is a band based in the Greater LA and Riverside area. We aspire to create music that transcends genre boundaries. With each member bringing diverse backgrounds to the table\, our music reflects aspects of us that words cannot capture. You’ll hear us playing everything from pop\, R&B\, and funk to hip-hop\, rock\, and beyond—all at once. \nThe UCLA Mathias Botanical Garden extends our gratitude to UCLA Radio for sourcing artists and producing music for our Twilight in the Garden event series.
