Phoradendron juniperinum, juniper mistletoe, is a conspicuous and often very abundant stem parasite on the California juniper, Juniperus californica, a dominant shrub in pinyon-juniper woodland of Southern California. Sometimes the yellow-green mistletoe may cover more than half of the shrub canopy.
