Many species of cucurbits (Family Cucurbitaceae) are herbaceous vines. This species, growing in a tropical pastureland in western Mexico, has alternate, deeply lobed leaves, which are grayish-green due to the presence of numerous trichomes (hairs) on the leaf surface. This plant also has formed tendrils.
