Cephalotus follicularis (Family Cephalotaceae), the Albany pitcher plant, is endemic to a small region in Western Australia, accessible from Perth. This monotype is one of three unrelated dicotyledonous families in which pitfall-type pitchers have evolved, an example of convergent evolution.
