In eastern North America can be found a pitcher plant, Sarracenia purpurea (Family Sarraceniaceae) which has tank-like leaves that are colored with red, yellow, and clear areas. These "pitchers" are used for capture of insect prey, and the coloration is probably involved in these deceptive devises.
