Tendrils in this member of the grape family (grape ivy, Cissus rhombifolia, Family Vitaceae) are coiled around its own hairy stems, forming a tangle. Vitaceae have pairs of leafy stipules at the base of each leaf, appearing as attachments to the stem at the node.
