Leafy stipules of cultivated geranium, Pelargonium X hortorum The commonly cultivated geranium, Pelargonium X hortorum (Family Geraniaceae), has a pair of green, leafy stipules, assumed to be photosynthetic, persistently attached to the stem at the node.
