STIPULAR SPINE
Stipular spine: a spine is a sharp, modified stipule or stipel.
Examples:
- Flowering quince, Chaenomeles
- A climbing araliad, Eleutherococcus trifoliatus
- Legumes with solid stipular spines: example 1, Erythrina, another example
- Stipular spines on stem succulent euphorbs; another example and a view with leaves present
- A bullthorn acacia; another Mexican bullthorn acacia
