During December and especially early January, Southern California received some mighty windstorms, which uprooted trees and snapped major branches throughout the area. Perhaps because MEMBG is somewhat sheltered by towering adjacent buildings, our trees were relatively unharmed by the howling, with the exception of the large, lowermost limb on our smaller rose gum, Eucalyptus grandis. Not even neighboring plants near the euc were damaged when it came down and was removed.
