The Southern California Horticultural Society has announced plans to sponsor an intern at the Mildred E. Mathias Botanical Garden this year. The internship award of $2000 will support training in some aspect of botanical garden operation, very broadly defined, for a student in a horticulture-related major--with the goal of encouraging students to enter this vocation.
