Soon after the last newsletter went to press, we began to find mature fruits--interesting purple-red berries--on Blakea gracilis. Many readers who visited this plant while it was in bloom reported that they really liked its simplicity and its stately flower. We are pleased about this very positive reaction--so much so, in fact, that we have plans to make the flower part of a logo for MEMBG.
