In June we received news that Jim and Rosemarie Nix of Laguna Hills had made a bequest of $250,000 to MEMBG. A 1939 UCLA business graduate, Jim revisited his alma mater to express his gratitude by contributing to several worthy campus causes. The Nixes are particularly interested in helping us at MEMBG make the grounds accessible to visitors with disabilities, in keeping with Jim's interest in veterans, and especially in honoring those who fought with him during World War II in the Italian Campaign. Thus, we anticipate using a portion of the Nixes' donation to rebuild the two bridges over our recirculating stream, making easy routes for all to use when visiting the garden.
