During the second week of April, Willard Scott's Home & Garden Almanac filmed a segment at our garden. Starring in this feature, along with Willard Scott, will be our garden manager Rand Plewak. Rand Plewak discussed epiphytes, emphasizing our collections of bromeliads and vireya rhododendrons. He also demonstrated how to propagate a pineapple, Ananas comosus, which is actually a terrestrial bromeliad. The show will air in fall or winter on Scripps Howard's Home and Garden Television, which can be viewed in thirty-six million homes in the U.S., and in sixty-five other countries.
