From as far away as Palm Springs have come some of the nicest people you would ever want to meet, the MEMBG docents, who volunteer whenever needed to run our public education program. The botanically trained corps originally consisted of a lucky group of thirteen active members: Paul Bologna, Rebecca Bonney, Helen Friedman, Dr. Andrea George, Mary Knowlton, Sue Larky, Mel Leventhal, Jane Payne, Stan Penton, Evelyn Rabuchin, Beverly Shaffer, Millicent Stein, Norm Stolba.
Then, on November 17, eight new docents joined the group, following completion of the eight-week training course on botany. The new graduates are Miguel Castaneda, Shirley Desser, Judy Farber, Phyllis Friedberg, Kate Garde, Barbara Goldenberg, Tracy MacLean, and Margery Morris.
